OPGW

OPGW is a type of fiber optic cable used in high voltage lines. It has high resistance to wind, ice load and pull forces. OPGW cable has two functions. In the first one, it acts like a normal earth wire and protects the line against lightning effects and phase faults. In the other, it meets the communication requirements.

It is designed to provide uninterrupted service even on extra high voltage lines. Qualification and acceptance tests are carried out in various environments to ensure the performance and durability characteristics of the optical cable.

Used in lake or river crossing industrial applications. It is used in outdoor applications and is specially designed to protect the optical fiber from unexpected mechanical or environmental factors.
